| Resumo |
| This paper aims at being an attempt of identifying and better
understanding a possible soteriological path in Thoreau s work, which is
going to called, here, a Pedagogy of awakening. Such path, it is going to
be argued, aims at a profound experience of integration with wilderness,
with Nature, and is fundamentally carved out from Thoreau s dialogical
relationship with the Greek philosophical and mythological tradition. That
referred awakening is based upon a set of practices and exercises: attention,
study and contemplation. |
